I took a recent receipt from a trip to Aldi and compared it to Walmart. Take a look at the results.
Many people think I am a big couponer, but I just use them for certain items. I like to find the best price and buy it the easy way. I am not only a saver but a time saver too and know everyone does not have the time to coupon. :)

There are real deals in coupons though so if this is a way you can save your family money, please do it.

Free Circus Ticket for your kids 12 and under - Greenville SC area

You can get free tickets to the circus from any Greenville County Library. Pick up a voucher, write down 5 books your children have read and redeem at the BiLo box office for a ticket valued up to $25. One adult ticket purchase for each 3 free children's tickets. Feb. 1-5th.

I hear the library has other cool deals too so you might want to check it out. Spartanburg County residents can join the Greenville Library too.

Meats - What is the best price?

Getting the deals for meats really adds up on the grocery budget. Also don't forget you don't also have to use the suggested amount in a recipe either.

Here are my buy now prices for meat. You can find lower prices sometimes but you shouldn't have to pay more than these prices at any of the major grocery stores. You just have to remember to look for the sales (every six weeks or so).

• Chicken Breast Bone-in, $0.98/lb.
• 80/20 Ground Beef, $1.99/lb
• Whole Chicken, $0.79/lb.
• Ribeye Steak, $5.99/lb.
• Beef Roast, $2.49/lb.
• Boneless Pork Loin, $1.99/lb.
• Pork Chops, $1.99/lb.
• Salmon, $6.98/lb

Also don't forget to look for meat on markdown. I buy the meat in bulk when it is on sale and then freeze it.

I also used to buy more Chicken Breast but now I buy the Chicken Breast with the bone-in. It has lots of good flavor and is a lot cheaper too.
